Local Business Spotlight
Bootleggers coming to East Bakersfield at the old La Mina location!

New bootlegger signage!
Unfortunately the east Bakersfield local business staple that was La Mina closed, but from it came a new exciting opportunity. Bootleggers signage has been here since February at the very least, but to me them slowly working on it is a good sign they’re doing things right. Can’t wait to see this open as there is not any other type of brewery in the area.

Bakersfield History

Who Remembers the day Bakersfield stopped? Back in January 25th, 1999, Bakersfield had a snow-day! What a time to be alive. Schools were canceled, and a lot of people didn’t go to work. People had snow fights and so much fun.
Do you remember where you were when it snowed? I 6 years old and went to have a snowball fight outside with my sisters. Talk about core memories.
Photo of The Week
I’ll be picking something cool to showcase Weekly. Maybe a mural, maybe a cool picture, something unique. Got anything that you want featured with a shoutout, please reach out to me. I will be looking to feature local artist with videos, photos, or art in the future.

Unsupervised teens to be banned from Valley Plaza?
It’s been a pretty well known fact around town for a few years teens can get out of control at the Valley Plaza Mall in groups. A petition has started to have unsupervised teens banned from the mall because of what has been happening the last few years. If you would like to view the petition- Link
Signed. Fuck them kids.
That’s it for this week.
Thanks for checking out the very first edition of the newsletter! I’m learning and evolving as I go, so if you have ideas, feedback, or anything you’d like to see covered — don’t hesitate to reach out.
➡️ Know someone who’d love this? Forward it to a friend or tag them on one of my latest posts.

The plan is to eventually go weekly, but I may start biweekly while I dial everything in.
