• June 20 – Chingo Bling Live at the Nile
  🕠 Doors open at 5:30PM @ The Nile Theater
  (The Tamale Kingpin brings the heat — bilingual comedy and wild storytelling)

• June 20 – Anjelah Johnson-Reyes: The Family Reunion Tour
  🕕 Doors open at 6PM @ Fox Theater
  (Clean comedy icon, viral on MADtv as Bon Qui Qui — this show will sell out)

• June 20 – East Chester Summer Solstice ft. Mento Buru & DJ Nokturnal
  🕕 6PM–10PM @ 1002 19th St, Bakersfield
  (Live music, vendors, community vibes — celebrate the longest day of the year downtown)

• June 21 – MindTravel: Silent Piano Concert
  🕖 7PM @ The Park at River Walk
  (A live-to-headphones outdoor piano experience — relaxing, immersive, and one-of-a-kind)

• June 21 & 22 – Summer Nights Truck Show
  🕛 12PM–6PM @ Kern County Fairgrounds
  (Lifted trucks, vendors, food, and family-friendly fun — both days)

• June 21 – Intocable Live in Bakersfield
  🕗 8PM @ Dignity Health Amphitheatre & Convention Center
  (Legendary Mexican band bringing Tejano/Norteño vibes — big night for fans of Latin music)

Bootleggers coming to East Bakersfield at the old La Mina location!

Unfortunately the east Bakersfield local business staple that was La Mina closed, but from it came a new exciting opportunity. Bootleggers signage has been here since February at the very least, but to me them slowly working on it is a good sign they’re doing things right. Can’t wait to see this open as there is not any other type of brewery in the area.

Remembering the past. January 25th, 1999

Bakersfield History

Who Remembers the day Bakersfield stopped? Back in January 25th, 1999, Bakersfield had a snow-day! What a time to be alive. Schools were canceled, and a lot of people didn’t go to work. People had snow fights and so much fun.

Do you remember where you were when it snowed? I 6 years old and went to have a snowball fight outside with my sisters. Talk about core memories.

Local News

It’s been a pretty well known fact around town for a few years teens can get out of control at the Valley Plaza Mall in groups. A petition has started to have unsupervised teens banned from the mall because of what has been happening the last few years. If you would like to view the petition- Link
